Once upon a Time, in a Kingdom that was just a little twisted (oh yeah, and kinda far away), Fairy Godmothers Rule! Elf Kings drool, and a Knight was having a bad time with a Dragon.
Too bad he didn't realize the Dragon would be the least strange part of his day...
Fairy GodMOTHER. As in female - it's right there in the name. With those divine dimples, killer blue eyes, and hard muscled body, no one's going to be mistaking Tiernan for a female anytime soon, but due to a wish gone wrong, Tiernan is now the only Fairy Godfather in existence. Strangely, most Fairy Godmothers don't have a problem with this change in the status quo... all except the one Fairy Godmother who he'd go and win a kingdom for.
Reina has never been like the others. Organized, efficient, logical - and liking the status quo, thank you very much. After all, the FGs do not need a stubborn, infuriating, feckless male messing up tradition, and she wants him gone...like yesterday. Circumstances arise that just might let her get her wish, but in a way even she never wished for.
Tiernan's employment status is called into question and he is given the task of getting a woman named Cinderella a Happily Ever After or lose his position as a Fairy Godfather. So Cinderella will get to the ball and get her Prince if he has to dress her down to her shoes himself. Reina will be there to supervise, but if Tiernan does his job right, Cinderella won't be the only one getting a Happily Ever After.
Loving a Fairy Godmother Fairy Tales Ever Afters Book 1 eBook Danielle Monsch
Cute. Fairytale remade for adults, but still has some nods to the "classic" Cinderella story.Tiernan is a Fairy Godfather because of a wish he made. He now works with the Godmothers and one in particular wishes he were anywhere but with them. Reina isn't a fan, she would rather they had stuck to tradition instead of allowing a Godfather to enter their ranks. Despite her dislike towards him, he still has the eyes for her. They are forced to work together on a very special and important HEA case involving Cinderella, and that's where things get interesting.
Because this is so short, many things felt rushed. As an example, thirty years pass with the reader being none the wiser. The timeline was a little foggy in that regard, since the story is only 59 pages. Another thing that was a little odd was the time period itself. Cinderella (and I'm guessing this story also) was historical, yet the characters talked in a modern fashion, complete with modern day terms. But hey - it's fantasy, it's fiction, the way they enlighten Cinderella was certainly different, and it was fun. All is forgiven, especially since I now know exactly what a "bodice ripper" is (please excuse my stupidity, as I don't ever read anything that fits that category.).

Loving a Fairy Godmother Fairy Tales Ever Afters Book 1 eBook Danielle Monsch Reviews
Parts of the story felt rushed, but even at novella length it was complete. Handsome knight, stubborn fairy godmother. Absolutely fun, with the right amount of drama to keep it interesting.
A few typos, things like an instead of and.
The only bad note, the characters used a short hand and while it only took a minute to figure out, if they had started them in Tiernan's perspective the explanation could have been included.
Over all excellent story, I would highly recommend this.
Ms Monsch has written a delightful tale that combines two stories that include broken hearts, unrequited love, do or die action, and steamy love scenes. Tiernan, former knight now the only Fairy Godfather ever, and Reina, Fairy Godmother, Tiernan's ideal woman-and his supervisor, are paired to bring a Happily Ever After to Cinderella. The Fae King has insisted that if this HEA does not happen then Tiernan be stripped of his Fairy Godfather status. Unfortunately for Tiernan, that is a death sentence. Can Tiernan and Reina get their acts together in time? Not only Tiernan's life is at stake, but two HEA's-Cinderella's and his own.
Oh my! A HOT very original retold Cinderella Fairy Tale! I'll never think of Cinderella the same again! Danielle Monsch's imagination truly knows no bounds! I was totally blown away by her story-telling and the tale's twists and turns left me in awe!
This book introduced us to Tiernan, a knight, who is in the process of dying thanks to his incompetent fairy godmother. She grants him one last wish and his wish is to become a fairy godfather. He is granted that wish and interns under Reina, who obviously doesn't think he should be a godfather. You HAVE to read this to see what happens next!
This was the 1st book that I'd ever read by Danielle and it certainly won't be the last as I'm hooked now on her writing style, humor and ingenuity!
4 STARS!!!!!
This was a great read! Danielle Monsch weaves a tale that wraps the reader in her world. Her views on the godmother/father story are interesting and a breath of fresh air. The way she bypasses the typical fairytale world and thoughts is engaging. I really liked Tiernan and Reina’s journey! If you’re looking for a different fairytale that will leave you hot for more then you’ll love this book!

The knight Tiernan end ups with an incompetent Fairy Godmother, who gets him killed by a dragon. When’s he’s dying, the only way she can save his life is to grant him a wish. What does he wish for? Well, Tiernan wishes to be a Fairy Godfather. There has never been a fairy Godfather before Tiernan. But the Fairy Godmother’s don’t’ mind, they are smitten with him, all except Reina. She continues to push for his relocation. When it looks like Tierman may finally have to leave the Fairy Godmothers it’s not in the way Reina expected. She doesn’t want to see Tiernan die. So to help save him and help him keep his Fairy Godfather status she must assist him in creating a Happy Ever After for a mortal client. The lady they need to help is none other than, Cinderella. But Cinderella and her prince aren’t the only couple who may end up with a Happy Ever After. Tiernan and Reina may be headed for an HEA as well.
This is brilliant. So creative and darling. An enchanting romance with some hot love scenes. I strong recommend Loving A Fairy Godmother. It’s absolutely dreamy.
I have to admit, when I was only three chapters into this book, I was fairly certain I was going to hate it. In one five minute span the heroine went from hating the hero, to being distraught over his possible death sentence, to hating him again. At the time, there was no real reason to understand why she would react this way, so I was left thinking she was fairly emotionally unstable. I'm glad I kept reading, because this was far from the case.
In the end, I loved the different take on Cinderella that still had a very classical feel to the fair tale. Seeing it from the main characters points of view added a tenderness to the tale I wasn't expecting. Maybe it was because as they helped Cinderella, they were able to work through their own pasts and issues, chipping away at misconceptions and letting go of past hurts.
Over all the story was highly enjoyable. Had to go with a 4 rating because of the heroine seeming some what manic with her extreme emotional changes at the start of the book. While it was all explained in the end, I think it more could have been done at the beginning to help avoid painting the heroine is the wrong light.
